Knotts Mount Lofty Ranges Vermentino 2024
$13.60I write this note, glass by my desk. Scented with a difference, shows fragrance, good length, made for Australia-a picnic white, for the anything but Chardonnay crowd. Perhaps serve on your boat on Sydney harbour, during summer of course.
Sourced from a nameless, smart boutique in the Adelaide Hills. For those without a boat, the rest of us, Vermentino like Gruner Veltliner will be one of the very large number of varieties that clamour for attention which you try a few times each year.

Original price was: $9.60.$0.00Current price is: $0.00.Glug simply loves Sauvignon Blanc. We were there in the mid late 1970s promoting the variety when the elite shunned it – indeed they were scathing of its potential.

Terrene Estates South Australia Chardonnay 2024
$9.60Vines arrived with the First Fleet, collected from European vineyards, while cuttings also came from Madeira and Cape Town, both with a long wine making history. More varieties arrived with the Busby collection of the 1830s. We know Chardonnay existed for a long time in Mudgee yet what was the origin? New clonal selections arrived though it was not till the mid to late 1980s that sufficient Chardonnay was being made to meet demand. Now all vineyard districts grown Chardonnay though it is no longer favoured in warm regions like the Barossa Valley. This Terrene Estates is a Glug blend from several sources.
