Karrawirra Single Vineyard ‘Shea-Oak’ Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
$26.00Because we sell direct, plus offer wines under dozens of brands we do not have the constraints of larger companies. And importantly our ethos is different to a tiny winery offering a few reds and whites.
From this thinking Glug began bottling the best wines as Karrawirra Single Vineyards and others like Goat Square Ziegnmarkt, Brutus and Harem Sultan. Quantities bottled are under 40 cases of each. This Karrawirra She Oak is our best Cabernet from 2019.

BVWS Barossa Valley Wine Supply Industrial Strength Barossa Valley Shiraz Durif 2018
$22.60This Industrial Strength is 15.4% alc/vol. The Italians make a variety of wine called Amarone which is made after the grapes have been partially dehydrated on racks to lower the water level. This Industrial Strength is not made that way as we simply isolated a patch of grapes to make this natural ripe style, fermented dry I quickly add, and what is created is deep in colour and packed with flavour.
-
Harem ‘Rosita’ Barossa Valley Rosé (Grenache Mataro) 2022
$21.00About this Rosé I said, ‘Forget the insinuation of the pale delicate rusty pink colour, as this is simply very great wine which is fruity, bone dry, bitter-sweet and offers challenges’. Insinuation meaning – because it’s a rosé do not expect a simple, quaffing, sweet style. This comment applies to the remarkable Rosita 2022 which will develop for many years.
-
Goat Square ‘Ziegenmarkt’ Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021
$18.50The 2021 is exceptional being from the 10/10 vintage 2021. This makes it the eighth release of Ziegenmarkt.
The reasons why the Barossa is associated with rich flavours is complex though is due to the geography, the inland summer heat and cooling air from the west. We now know enough to say that no other place on earth duplicates these conditions. Shiraz takes on a concentrated, heady flavour, with a luxurious mid-palate sensation of fruit sweetness.
-

Stockwell Creek Basket Pressed Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021
$22.50Irrespective of vintage the Barossa Valley has a reputation for full flavoured wines the result of the latitude, elevation and the way warmth is trapped. With Shiraz the results are often astonishing, and a richness with mid-palate weight is achieved that exceeds all other comparable regions. Vintage 2021 is close to 10/10.
