The idea of Trial Bin Wines is to experiment. Over perhaps a decade many trials led to our appreciation of Barossa Valley Durif and how it marries well with Shiraz. This in turn created the Brutus our ultra-premium example. The theme behind this Trial Bin 092 is a bit different as many small wineries are offering us ‘left overs’ of high quality, yet in such small amounts, they need to be blended together to make a worthwhile quantity.
Drink what is in the glass and you will find this one of our best Barossa reds. Those customers that have been with us some time know the Glug viewpoint as we ask customers to move beyond judging wine by the variety and the vintage as both have become a modern obsession. Instead, we promote drink what is in the glass. If it tastes good, and the price is OK then why worry about the variety or if a blend of vintages makes it non-vintage. Also why worry if it is a blend of wines from many regions. This wine though is 100% Barossa Valley.
