This is the first Tempranillo under the Village Belle brand. This brand is dedicated to bringing customers the best of the alternative varieties. Recall that ten or so varieties make up 90% of what is sold so Village Belle wines explore those that are obscure and not mainstream.
How many varieties there are that make good wine is hard to say though is likely thousands. How many are planted in Australia is perhaps 100. Many we are not familiar with so whether they are close in style to the home of origin we do not know. If the district they are planted in locally has a large climatic variation to the district and country of origin, they will of course diverge in taste.
Tempranillo is widely grown in Spain so it will suit the Eden Valley.
Finally, as we do not make these rarer varieties, they are selected by us because they taste good.
Alcohol at 14.2%.
