I repeat a simple message. The South Australian Region that Glug calls the Adelaidean Mount Lofty Range, extending south from the Flinders Ranges to Kangaroo Island is one of the top three wine regions on Earth. The region is most famously known for the warm climate regions of the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale where the first vineyards date to perhaps 1844 and 1840. There is a central spine of higher ground that runs down Adelaidean Mount Lofty Range and vineyards are planted up to 600 metres. The wines from these vineyards have cool climate flavours because of the altitude. This region east of Adelaide is termed the Adelaide Hills and is the source of this Shiraz. It comes though from lower elevations so tastes like a cool climate Barossan or a wine from Eden Valley. In this way the flavours show a shift from the Barossa Valley taste towards those of say Coonawarra. A difference which is the point of drinking a range of wine styles.
