Back in October we were given our choice of barrels of Clare Valley reds from a five-star rated winery. While they retained the very best to be able to select what we wanted from the rest we knew was a rare honour.
We rate the wines from the Clare Valley highly because of our understanding of what geographical features create the many flavours that develop along the long complex geological structure we term the Adelaidean Mount Lofty Range.
Wines as variable as breathtaking Rieslings, to the intensely flavoured unique appeal of Cabernet, and on to Shiraz with such flavour length you wonder how it is possible, makes the Clare a world class oddity. Please note these wines are bottled with labels that we use for purchases which will not be repeated.
