Why the genes of the warm climate loving Shiraz when crossed with those of the high altitude, cool climate Peloursin produce the perfect variety for Australia, Durif, I do not understand. Instead of a mid-way point we have a supercharged Shiraz. Wonderful wine and the aroma will tell you what to expect.

$11.60Eden Valley is considered a cool climate district. Cool climate districts though are not all the same since coolness can come from elevation or latitude or a combination.
Further variations are created by the closeness to the ocean, being a source of cool air, and rainfall as humidity seems to play a role in creating the taste.

Original price was: $13.60.$9.00Current price is: $9.00.There are some fabulous vineyard clusters and those developed by the Henschke family at Keyneton illustrate the wine quality that can be achieved. The origin of the Burgoyne Shiraz is from the low Eden Valley where the reds are plumper than the far cooler high Eden. Still the low parts of the Eden Valley are one hundred or more metres higher than the Barossa Valley so expect a Shiraz that highlights different flavour aspects.

BVWS Barossa Valley Wine Supply Industrial Strength Barossa Valley Shiraz Durif 2018
$22.60This Industrial Strength is 15.4% alc/vol. The Italians make a variety of wine called Amarone which is made after the grapes have been partially dehydrated on racks to lower the water level. This Industrial Strength is not made that way as we simply isolated a patch of grapes to make this natural ripe style, fermented dry I quickly add, and what is created is deep in colour and packed with flavour.
