  • Mystery Mixed Dozen

Original price was: $190.00.Current price is: $140.00.

I must keep sales rolling along so here is my deal. Glug has made up a Mystery Mix that offers exceptional value. Each mixed dozen contains premium wines that have never been offered at discount prices.

Thus the mix contains the best of Glug, being wines of Goat Square, Karrawirra, Bengalee, Langdorf, Fareham Estate, Grandma Raethel, Barossa Valley Wine Supply, Stockwell Creek and Trennert. You will not be disappointed. The wines are ‘sure fire winners’. There is a considerable saving though mixes will differ, the saving is in the order of $50.

  • Bengalee Barossa Valley Grenache 2024

Original price was: $16.50.Current price is: $10.00.

We seek to bring out the serious side of Grenache, a substantial full flavoured expression such as we seek with our Shiraz.

  • Barbarossa Barossa Valley Shiraz Cabernet Durif Mataro 2022

Original price was: $15.80.Current price is: $10.00.

NMD is short for ‘no more details’ and is the game we played with the early releases of the Barbarossa. The name Barbarossa and knowledge that it was 100% Barossa Valley was all customers were told. A real guessing game.

  • Goat Square Collection Mixed Dozen

Original price was: $192.40.Current price is: $150.00.

Goat Square Barossa Valley Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2023 x 2 bottles
Goat Square Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022 x 2 bottles
Goat Square Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 x 2 bottles
Goat Square Barossa Valley Grenache 2021 x 2 bottles
Goat Square Reserve Barossa Valley Ziegenmarkt Shiraz 2021 x 1 bottle
Goat Square Reserve Barossa Valley Ziegenmarkt Cab 2019 x 1 bottle
Goat Square Barossa Valley Grenache Rosé 2024 x 2 bottles

  • Glug ‘Sandcastle’ Barossa Valley Grenache 2024

Original price was: $13.80.Current price is: $8.00.

Not long-ago Barossa Grenache had no following so it is pleasing that advanced drinkers now realise the wonder of the Barossa expands far beyond Shiraz. Varieties such as Grenache and Mataro were included in large blends from the 1950s yet this was seldom mentioned on the label.

  • Roxton McLaren Vale Merlot 2023

Original price was: $14.60.Current price is: $8.00.

Roxton has a long history as a McLaren Vale brand though had faded and abandoned by the 1960s. The advanced customer should compare and enjoy Merlot from McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley with our view being McLaren Vale has the edge.

  • Fareham Estates Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Original price was: $15.60.Current price is: $9.00.

A big rich, juicy Cabernet, minty, intense flavours, being part of the ‘five star red haul’ we stumbled across in mid-2024. Five stars being the winery rating of the wine writer James Halliday. Halliday published ‘Clare Valley-the history the vignerons and the wines’, in 1985. He devotes a section to Fareham Estate which was founded in 1966.

  • Fareham Estate Clare Valley Shiraz 2022

Original price was: $15.40.Current price is: $9.00.

There is something about the geography of the Clare Valley and how this reacts with the climate that finds its way into the Shiraz and Cabernet. They bring to the glass an additional and unusual fragrance, a minty delicacy, which is quite thrilling.

  • Kitts Creek Barossa Valley Mataro 2018

Original price was: $14.50.Current price is: $10.00.

The Barossa Valley is about 30 kilometres in length and we favour grapes from the central to northern limit as these provide the rich, full bodied styles which Glug favours.

  • Village Belle Eden Valley Tempranillo 2021

Original price was: $14.50.Current price is: $8.50.

Village Belle wines explore those that are obscure and not mainstream.

  • Telegraph Road South Australia Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Original price was: $7.50.Current price is: $4.00.

The sign of a good cellar is when budget wines improve to a point and then hold that point for a long time.
