Thus the mix contains the best of Glug, being wines of Goat Square, Karrawirra, Bengalee, Langdorf, Fareham Estate, Grandma Raethel, Barossa Valley Wine Supply, Stockwell Creek and Trennert. $12.40These wines have been aged in large oak barrels by Glug over many years and parts have been purchased in bulk from other growers. This is an important distinction as the wines were only bottled a few weeks ago. This is the best way to provide mature flavours that are fresh and vibrant.

$13.80This is the first McLaren Vale Rosé we have stocked, a wine style that Glug enjoys when made from warm climate regions. Rosés made from the varieties Grenache and Mataro which fruit well in warm climates are our favourites.

Glug ‘Sunday Drive’ Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2023
Original price was: $14.60.$8.00Current price is: $8.00.Adelaide Hills vineyards are small and variable. A bit of good ground here and a further tiny parcel over the hill crest. Pocket handkerchief vineyards. Less common is exposure to the summer heat which ripens Shiraz and this ‘Sunday Drive’ we found irresistible and so purchased from a small garagiste maker. Cool climate though in the style of Eden Valley.

Glug ‘The Escapee’ Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Original price was: $14.60.$10.00Current price is: $10.00.In a district like the Barossa Valley the long summer never ends and grapes can be left hanging well into April or May and you can watch the berries shrivel in the heat. Vintage 2021 was favourable for the development of flavours and is as close to 10/10 as is possible. The grapes for this Glug Cabernet were harvested for full ripeness in the Glug style. We prefer drinking wines when younger though this wine will hand around in a good cellar for a long time.
