    $29.90

This is the eighth Brutus from 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, and 2021. Brutus is a project to push Shiraz further by blending with Durif. Durif from the Riverine town of Griffith is exceptional and with our experience with Rutherglen Durif we knew it would blend well with Barossa Shiraz. The ABV is 15%. Shiraz with Durif is a Wonder.

  • Kitts Creek Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Original price was: $15.80.Current price is: $8.00.

This region is higher, drier and with a different weather pattern to the Southern and middle part of the Barossa. What we want from the wines of this region is Barossa strength yet with the cooler evenings the fruit aromas are more fragrant which also shows on the palate.

  • Glug ‘GH40’ Winemaker’s Individual Barrel Selection Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

    $14.50

Glug’s Individual Barrel Selection showcases the subtle differences within each vintage. Bottled straight from single barrels, these boutique wines capture the rare, distinctive flavours that set them apart.

  • Salem Valley Barossa Valley Cabernet Shiraz 2022

Original price was: $12.80.Current price is: $8.00.

This tiny village does exist and is now an extension of Angaston. The original church is still open and fronting the main street frontage are many cottages of this era. The wine though is a blend from many barrels as we are in clearing mode and contains Barossa Valley and Eden Valley from many sub-districts.

  • Hopcroft & Cornock McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Original price was: $14.80.Current price is: $11.00.

Generous and full-flavoured, this McLaren Vale Cabernet balances warm-climate richness with subtle coastal freshness for a deeply enjoyable glass.

  • Rara Avis Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

    $35.90

The rare and wonderful comes from the Barossa Valley. Within the best Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache those with a top palate can identify wines that have an edge over all the others. This Rara Avis, the fifth we have made since 2004, is our best Shiraz from 2022. Will keep for a long time though even the best we prefer to see consumed at a younger age.

  • Farmers Museum Selection Fine Old Barossa Valley Tawny 750mL

    $55.00

Great vintages happen when everything goes just right such as a long even ripening without stress on the vine and thus the bunches of grapes. The excitement grows that 2021 will be one of the classics and I have my finger crossed that it may equal the 1996.

  • Glug Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz 2023

Original price was: $19.50.Current price is: $12.00.

The first Glug reserve was a 2015 being a small parcel just too good to blend away which was bottled in 2017. By then we had learnt how to bottle tiny amounts leading to single barrel bottlings and small amounts. The point of Barossa Shiraz is its unique depth and ripeness. Thus pale, delicate and light has its place as does a wine like this which is the opposite; having an intense depth of ‘sweetness’ along the mid palate a feature that seems to be unique to the Barossa Valley.

  • Rara Avis Barossa Valley Grenache 2024

    $35.90

For this Rara Avis we are talking about the big style so it needs the long lunch or a grand evening dinner.

  • Karrawirra Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

    $16.50

As customers are aware Glug favours later picking. It is possible in many vintages to leave the grapes hanging for much longer though you need a customer base to support the sales of these more extreme ripe styles.

  • Hopcroft & Cornock McLaren Vale Merlot 2023

    $14.80

Fashion moved on from Merlot, leaving smart buyers with wines like this.  A rich, full McLaren Vale red delivering Cabernet-level satisfaction at remarkable value.

Guardian of the Barossa the 16th Vintage. The first Glug vintage was the 2008 though we revived this brand which was used by Kies Family Wines in 1968. The name is derived from aboriginal peoples and means stands of red gums. The Kara-wirra valley, near Lyndoch was the home of century old red gums of massive size.

  • Grandma Raethel Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

    $19.50

The final release in the Grandma Raethel series, and the standout vintage of them all. Created as a tribute to the German pioneers who settled the Barossa in the 1840s, these wines celebrate the region’s warm-climate style, delivering the deep flavour and mid-palate richness that make Barossa reds unique in the world.

  • Teusner Bilmore Shiraz 2021

    $21.90

Named after the legendary, multifaceted Roger Bilmore!

  • Goat Square Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

    $15.80

We last made Goat Square Cabernets in 2004, 2005, and 2006 then backed off as they did not fit the style we wanted for Goat Square. The Cabernet we harvested from a new source in 2021 was of another standard so we returned with the Goat Square 2021. We continue with the 2022.

  • Bengalee Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
