The Cabernet came from a vineyard south of the Barossa town of Tanunda. Did you know that the grapes of the red variety with the largest plantings across the Globe, Cabernet Sauvignon, is not so easy to sell to wine makers in the Barossa Valley. Glug took in what others did not want as we reckon it makes a big red, true to the Barossa style. This wine is of huge proportions since 2018 pushed a few limits with heat. Purists will see a lack of balance and flavours pushing to overripe and we agree it is not 2021. Yet a mouthful of rich full Barossa wine quickly removes concerns so what this wine becomes with 20 years cellaring hardly matters. A good Glug purchase and you will agree on it being a winner after the first sip. More a bison that a Bambi.
